We are very excited for them and proud of their accomplishments.

Applied Math Field Trip

Woodland High School’s Applied Math class took a field trip to AmFor Electronics on February 28th. This field trip was relevant to their unit on electric circuits and provided a valuable opportunity for students to get exposure to a manufacturing environment.

AmFor was kind enough to dedicate staff to set up stations for the students. Participants got the opportunity to tour the facility and do an activity on lean manufacturing, crimp wire ends, and solder on wire connectors.

Besides being a fun day away from school, the experience got students thinking about the many considerations that go into making products efficiently in modern manufacturing operations.
