If you're watching teacher posted videos, either things uploaded to Drive or on YouTube, you have the ability to decrease the quality of that video (in terms of resolution) to improve your ability to watch it without much Internet bandwidth.

Look for the settings "cog" icon on the bottom right corner of the window and select "Quality" from the pop up menu.
Then pick the lowest available resolution option, except for Auto which may pick an unusable resolution.
