President Watts called the meeting to order at 6:15 p.m.

WORKSHOP

District and School Improvement Plans

Superintendent Green started by providing an overview of the work session and asking the school board directors to ask questions and provide any direction or improvements to these draft improvement plans. Assistant Superintendent Asha Riley presented a PowerPoint presentation of the District’s current adopted goals and the proposed new goals for the board to review. The board then broke into three groups, elementary, middle school, and high school, where administrators and teams discussed their improvement plans for each school. The board then reconvened as a group to discuss highlights and any missing items. Overall the directors were very pleased with the information and improvement plans which will presented at the next regular board meeting for adoption.

President Watts recessed the meeting at 8:26 p.m. to enter into Executive Session 42.30.11(1)(g).
