RE: Yale Elementary Report
The past month at Yale has been busy and productive. Our staff has completed Fall benchmark assessments, grouped students for interventions, and started intervention instruction. Progress monitoring is happening on a bi-weekly basis and adjustments will be made if needed.
Our students went on their first field trip of the year to the pumpkin patch. Everyone had a great time and the weather was beautiful. The fire department visited our school last week and our students climbed all over the fire truck, learned fire prevention and safety, and got to take home some swag.
Our staff has been very flexible this year. They are jumping in to help when we have unfilled vacancies and our days have all run smoothly. We all feel supported by our facilities and maintenance guys, Brian and Damon. Our grounds have never looked better and our needs are being handled very efficiently.
We have several new programs this year and the learning curve has been steep. Our staff is getting more and more comfortable with our CKLA literacy materials, DIBELS assessments, and Rocket Math (math fluency daily practice with incentives).
