RE: Woodland High School Board Report

Fall Conferences and Connect Night

Fall conferences are scheduled at Woodland High School for the evening of October 27th. This year we are combining fall conferences with an updated version of Connect Night. Connect Night was an activity developed several years ago in an effort to bring more families into the building and connect them with critical activities and information relating to the school community. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. that evening light snack food will be available to parents along with a variety of informational tables. Some of these informational tables include Lower Columbia College, Jostens, a how-to table for help accessing Skyward, various clubs and activities, and a FAFSA informational session.

Homecoming Week was a huge success

It's been well-publicized but it bears repeating. Homecoming week was a huge success, from the Homecoming Court to the Timber Court to building tours to the victory on the football field. It was a team win from top to bottom but definitely, a huge shout-out goes to Shari Conditt who played the pivotal organizing role in it all. If you would like to see pictures I can send some along to you. Let me know.

A peek at the data

I'm pasting in a slide that we used as a part of our sip goal setting. It describes changes over time in our school's demographics and how our Hispanic students compare to other groups in terms of attendance and academic performance.
