Reconfiguration Wrap Up:
I am extremely pleased with how well the reconfiguration process has gone this year.
As we bring the process to a close, we are working on the final shifts, mainly curriculum and furniture. Shae Lindsay is working hard with us to ensure the curriculum is getting checked in and organized to be redistributed to teachers according to the new grade level configuration in each building. Sarah is also working on ordering curriculum to fill the gaps and ensure each classroom teacher has what they need to begin the next school year in our new grade level configurations.
New Math Curriculum Introduction:
On our very last day of school, all K-4 teachers participated in training to become familiar with our new math curriculum. Each received their new teacher guides and an introduction to how the materials are organized, how lessons are designed, and how to prepare for the year ahead. Next fall, the trainer will return for more in depth training to ensure successful implementation of the curriculum.
State Testing Wrap Up:
Once again, testing went smoothly this year. The most recent Smarter Balanced Assessment results are posted below. At this time, nearly all student scores have been posted for each grade. When I review and present the data in the fall, I expect some subtle shifts in the numbers but these are fairly good idea of our achievement results for the 2018-19 school year.
