Director Beuscher moved to approve the minutes from April 8, 2019, April 22, 2019, and May 13, 2019.

REPORTS TO THE BOARD

Director Donald asked some clarifying questions on the graduation requirements from the Teaching and Learning report.

Director Donald and Stuart asked some detailed questions about the Facilities and Safety report and the changes to the portables at Woodland Primary School.

DISCUSSION ITEMS

Identification of Board Representatives at End of Year Events

Director Madsen will be available for the WHS Awards night. Director Stuart volunteered to hand out diplomas at the TEAM Commencement, and Director Watts volunteered for the WHS Commencement.

First Reading Policy Revisions 3205, 5253, 5280, 5281, 6020, & 6100

With no objections from the school board directors, these policies will be presented next month for second reading and approval.

Review of Results from 2019 Parent and Staff Surveys

Superintendent Green presented a PowerPoint presentation with the survey data from both the parent and staff surveys. He noted that the administration team would be reviewing the results in much greater detail.

Director Madsen suggesting that having the parent survey broken down into schools, rather than the district, could be helpful.

Director Donald commented that completing the survey on the phone wasn’t easy and maybe communicating next year to parents and suggesting using a PC.

Director Beuscher noted an error on the commencement dates for the 2020-2021 calendar. With those corrections, she moved to approve the calendars as presented.
