Regarding: Monthly Report

 

1.      HS Girls' Basketball

a.      Varsity record 0-0 (league), 4-2 (overall)

                                               i.     Team is traveling to Yakima over Christmas break for a tournament.

b.      JV record is 0-0 (league), 2-4 (overall)

2.      HS Boys' Basketball

a.      Varsity record 0-0 (league), 2-2 (overall)

b.      JV record is 0-0 (league), 2-2 (overall)

c.      Both teams will be competing in a tournament at Castle Rock over break.

3.      HS Wrestling

a.      Team placed eighth out of twelve at the Three Rivers Classic at Mark Morris to kick off their season. Andrew Bosch took first place with several other team members placing in the top 4.

b.      Team is traveled to Blaine for the "Battle at the Border" Dec. 9 and 10. Team members had a great time, and ended up 14th out of 21 with Andrew Bosch taking 3rd to lead the Beavers.

c.      Team will be competing at Tenino over Christmas Break.

4.      HS Swimming

a.      Josh Risley is competing for WHS through the Camas co-op.

5.      MS Winter sports are wrapping up...

a.       8th grade girls won their league championship this past weekend and finished the season undefeated.

b.      Our wrestling season wrapped up with us hosting a JV tournament on 12/8 and a varsity tournament on 12/10. Several wrestlers had great performances.

6.      Current News...

a.      Trap Parent Meeting/Safety meeting on 12/13 - 15 athletes (along with parents) were there.

b.      We will be the only team in the SW Washington area. SCTP is very excited that we are starting up - they are hoping that we get the ball rolling in SW Washington.

c.      First official trap practice on 12/15

                                               i.     Home site has been changed to Rainier, OR - site fee has been waived and cost per round is considerably less.

d.      There has been interest for a mountain biking club - there is an established league in our state and a state competition in the spring. More information to come...

e.      Our high school boys' basketball program is running a youth basketball league - over 80 students in grades 1-4 are participating.
