Fall Sports

HS Football

  1. Varsity record (0-0 league, 1-0 overall)
    1. Won opener 43-15 over Kalama.
  2. JV record (0-0 league, 1-0 overall).
    1. Won opener 30-0 over Kalama.
  3. 65 athletes are participating

HS Volleyball

  1. Varsity record (0-0 league, 0-1 overall).
    1. Lost opener to Kalama in 3 sets – 2nd and 3rd sets went down to the wire.
  2. JV record (0-0 league, 0-1 overall).
  3. 24 athletes are participating.

HS Girls’ Soccer

  1. Varsity record (0-0 league, 0-1 overall)
    1. Lost opener to Kelso – tied 1-1 at the half. The coach was pleased with the effort and progress they have made. It’s a young team.
  2. JV record (0-0 league, 0-1 overall)
  3. 30 athletes are participating.

HS Cross Country

  1. 24 athletes are participating
    1. Team had a nice showing at Tuesday’s Jamboree
    2. First meet is Saturday at Western Oregon University

HS Boys’ Golf

  1. Varsity record (0-0 league, 1-0 overall)
  2. 8 athletes are participating
    1. Beat Heritage in their first meet.. Nolan Autrey led the way with a 36.

HS Dance and Cheer

  1. Cheer has 10 fall participants
  2. Dance has 9 fall participants
    1. Both performed at half time of our home opener and put on a great show.
    2. The improvement in both of these programs has been remarkable over the past few years – I’ve been hearing a lot of compliments from the community after Friday’s performances.

  3. Captain Training was well attended by captains from each fall sport.
    1. This training gives me the opportunity to build relationships with the team leaders of our programs. In addition, I share effective leadership strategies and tools with them – as well as stress the importance of them supporting their coach and the program by always putting the team first.
