At TEAM High School our enrollment is 76 students for the month of September. This falls right in line with previous years.
Elizabeth Vallaire and Mary Burnett have experienced the first day of the year at TEAM. They know what to expect and it can be hectic. Jillian Jacobs joined us last year in February so had never experienced Day One at TEAM. Jillian told me that it ran as smoothly as possible considering there is only one Mary. Mary works several days prior to the Day One entering new students, pulling transcripts from returning students and entering students into classes. Even then it is a busy day as we have last minute changes. Much calmer even on Day Two.
TEAM High has been selected to review the survey that will be sent out in October to all the Alternative Learning Schools from the State Auditor’s Office. This is not an audit, it is simply a survey. We are reviewing the survey for clarity of questions, amount of time it would take to complete, would the questions be of value, etc. The State Auditor’s Office will be meeting with us and a few others on September 13.
This year TEAM High School is slated to have a full audit. The dates have not yet been published. In the past several years we have had desk audits in which we send program information to the State Auditor’s Office in Olympia. This year an auditor will be on site.
