Re: January Review
Here is an overview of the key activities we worked on in relation to teaching and learning during January.
Monday’s: There were only 2 Monday’s for staff to meet. Both of these Monday’s were used by staff to work in departments to finalize their semester finals as well as make revisions to our curriculum handbook.
Finals: Finals went well with a high percentage of student attendance for the tests and a very serious tone was felt throughout the high school.
Other information: We welcome back Mrs. Grider this month after a two month hiatus due to a health issue. We were grateful for the excellent work of Ms. Mia Nigro who filled in for both French and Spanish classes. We also welcome Ms. Meng to our staff after Ms. Huston left for the Evergreen School district. And finally, we also are pleased that Mrs. Joyce Sixberry will be teaching the French I and French II classes this semester as Mrs. Grider continues to recover from her illness. Along the staff lines, we have not be able to find a highly qualified candidate yet for Mrs. Miller, so Ms. Kyla Sorensen will continue as the long term substitute until either Mrs. Miller returns or we find a highly qualified teacher who can fill in.
