Athletic Director Report

1.        HS Football

a.        Varsity record (4-0 league, 4-1overall)

          i.      Big test vs. Toledo (both of us are currently undefeated in league).

          ii.      District crossover game Nov. 2 (site tbd).

b.        JV record (4-0 league, 5-0 overall).

c.        Freshman record (2-0 league, 3-0 overall)

2.        HS Volleyball

a.        Varsity record (5-2 league, 5-3 overall).

                    i.      Huge win over previously undefeated King's Way on Tuesday.

                    ii.      League Championship (we are hosting) October 27.

                    iii.      District Tournament begins October 31 (Castle Rock or Montesano)

b.        JV record (5-0 league, 5-1 overall).

3.        HS Girls' Soccer

a.        Varsity record (6-2 league, 6-2 overall)

                     i.      District Tournament begins October 30 at Kalama.

b.        JV record (1-0 league, 1-0 overall)

4.        HS Cross Country

a.        Matthew Young ran the fastest 5k in school history (17:43.9)

b.        Matthew Young, Michael Mentler, Tim Nahring, and Bailey Glessing became the first 4 to go under 19 in the same meet in school history.

c.        District Meet is Oct. 27 at Evergreen State College (Olympia)

d.        It's looking like we could send two full teams (boys and girls) to state for first time in school history.

5.        HS Boys' Golf

a.        Varsity record (6-2 overall)

                     i.      Team is gearing up for districts on Oct. 15-16 at Three Rivers Golf Course (Longview).

b.        JV record (3-1 overall)

6.        MS Football

a.        7th grade record (3-0-1)

b.        8th grade record (4-0)

7.        MS Volleyball

a.        8th grade record (4-4)

                     i.      We are hosting the 8th grade tournament Oct. 6 (both ms and hs gyms).

b.        7th grade record (2-6)

c.        Blended record  (7-1)

8.        Current news...

a.        Researching possibility of raising funds for artificial turf for new stadium (through grants and donations).

b.        Working with Mrs. Flanagan's 5th period class on improving athletic facilities.

c.        All HS programs in the hunt for playoff berths as of today.

d.        MS Winter 1 Season (wrestling and girls' basketball) begins October 22.
