Enrollment Open for the 2012-2013 School Year:
In order to prepare for a larger program next year, we are trying to get ahead of the game and estimate the number of students we are likely to have. Most academies open enrollment are up for the next year in the Spring, but I am trying to get ahead of them and get the word out that we are accepting students from other districts as well. As a result we have announced the opening of enrollment for next year. We have sent out a mailing, a press release and posted advertisements in the Columbian, Daily News and the Reflector. Many of our current families have also asked for information to share with their friends; so I have put together a brief communication that can be forwarded via email. I have attached the key points we are communicating to the public about our program, in case you know of someone you would recommend our program to.
Parent Survey Results:
As you know, we intentionally started small this year in order to monitor, adjust, and develop to offer the best program possible. We are grateful for the communication we've had from our families with many good suggestions thus far. We do, however, know that not all families take time to call and make suggestions or give feedback. Therefore, we sent out a brief mid- year survey seeking input from every family. As a result of the survey we note that the families are very pleased with the program. In particular, they are pleased with the level of support they receive from Mr. Knudson and how easily accessible he is to support their child's learning. The complete results, including comments from the parents are following. (see attached)
