ANNUAL BOARD REORGANIZATION

Appointment of Directors Committees of the Board

School Board Policy 1240 establishes two (2) board committees to which the board may appoint up to two members each December.  Committee members will serve a one-year term.

The current board committees are:

  • Budget and finance committee— who work with the CFO and Superintendent, on an ongoing basis, to review the budget and finance operations of the district. (Currently, Directors Guthrie and Stuart)
  • Policy committee— who will work with the Superintendent to review and prepare policy recommendations for consideration by the whole board.  (Currently, Directors McLendon and Huddleston)

The board may also appoint up to two directors to the following district committees:

  • Calendar committee (by agreement with WEA there is only one board representative on this committee) (Last year, it was Director McLendon)
  • Trust Fund/Career Pathways Scholarship Committee. (Currently, Director McLendon)
  • District Safety Committee (Currently, Director Guthrie)
