ELL/State Transitional Bilingual Intervention Program and Translation Services

• Our focus over the last several weeks at all the buildings and the district level has been to support staff and students through the administration of the WIDA ACCESS test. Students are working hard to demonstrate their English language acquisition skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
• At this time, we are at a 72% completion rate for the district as a whole. Two of our schools, WHS and North Fork Elementary, have completed test administration for all eligible students. The remaining schools are very close to finishing their assessments as well, and we anticipate completing the full administration by March 15th.
• Additionally, our district staff are busy scheduling conferences for our Spanish-speaking families and arranging to have interpreters support Spring conferences at each of the schools. We are so thankful for our bilingual staff and the support they provide for teachers and families.
