RE: Athletics Report

We have been very fortunate during the fall season – no teams have been completely shut down due to COVID. We’ve had players quarantined, games canceled by other teams, and transportation issues, but have still managed to get all of our games in but one.

Woodland Middle School

Fall sports are a wrap. Winter 1 sports (Girls Basketball and Co-ed Wrestling) begin Monday, October 25.

  1. We will be adding 6th grade to wrestling if there is enough interest. This will be the only sport that we offer to the 6th grade at this time. There are 2 reasons for this:
    1. Our wrestling numbers are low and we can accommodate the additional athletes with both staff and facilities.
    2. This is the only sport that our league is offering to the 6th grade.

You can see their game schedules here: https://www.arbiterlive.com/School/33613

Woodland High School

It’s been a rough fall. Our athletes and coaches continue to work hard despite all the setbacks. Really proud of them.

Volleyball

  2. JV record (4-8 league, 4-8 overall)
  3. JV2 record (0-12 league, 0-12 overall)

Girls’ Soccer

  1. Varsity record (0-13 league, 1-13 overall)
    1. It's been a really rough season. Our young team continues to play hard and compete. Better days ahead.
  2. JV record (0-11 league, 1-10 overall)
    1. For various reasons, we have struggled to put a full team on the field and have played a lot of games 9 vs 9. The league has been very accommodating.
