North Fork Elementary Report

The PTSA is doing a Non-Fundraiser donation form for this year. They are giving families the opportunity to donate in lieu of buying anything or sponsoring students running.
October is National Anti-bullying month. Mr. Kulu, our counselor has been educating all classrooms on bullying and how to prevent it.
We have been working on improving safety at our pickup on Salmon street. Currently, there are no crosswalks or school zone signs to encourage parents to slow down. A neighbor has been frustrated and has been hostile to parents, students, and staff. Scott has requested a crosswalk from the city. We currently have two staff members at the gate to assist students in crossing the street. A letter was sent out to parents enlisting their help in keeping students safe during pick up. The police have been present to deter speeding and double parking and the situation is improving.
