RE: Yale Elementary Report
Yale Elementary is a gift! Each time I visit I am reminded of the small school feeling of warmth and kindness. Our students are among the sweetest I’ve ever experienced. The dynamic in Yale’s classrooms is very different from other classrooms. I believe that students are more comfortable and confident with each other due to the fact they are in class together for all 5 years! The student-to-student discourse during instruction is interesting and promotes excellent conversations and sometimes debates!
This year we have specialists going to Yale to deliver instruction in PE, Music, and Leadership. Our students will be a part of the Yale/North Fork Virtual Christmas program, are learning the same social emotional curriculum as the NF students, and are getting PE instruction around lifelong physical skills. We are thrilled that our kids have this opportunity and I’m thankful to our specialists for sharing themselves with our students.
