Graduation
TEAM High School graduation went very well. We enjoy the opportunity to brag about our students at TEAM Graduation. Sarah distributed the diplomas this year. It was a great celebration with an estimated attendance nearing 250. Graduation for some students is not the expectation but is an exception to the norm for some families. This year we were allowed to let students who had not passed the Science State Exam to participate in the graduation ceremony. We did not have a single student in this situation. All of our students had completed all of the requirements as prescribed by our district and state.
State Testing
We conducted another round of state testing the first part of June. Math and science were the two that were tested. Students felt good about passing for the most part as I talked with them afterwards. I am hopeful this is a good sign.
Students Still Finishing
Some of our students are frantically working to complete their course studies prior to summer beginning as they have other commitments next fall. Others, are very anxious to take a break from their computer classes.
Summer School
We are running two sessions of Summer School this year (June 26 – July 14 and August 7-25. Thanks to the district for their financial support we are not only able to run two sessions but the cost has significantly decreased from $125 to $25. Parents and students are excited about the changes.
