Re: Teaching and Learning Report

We have concluded our first assessment of student achievement are now working on various means of improving student achievement. Teams of staff are reviewing the data and designing plans to respond and increase student success.

Along with these efforts, we are also supporting each teacher in writing student growth goals for the school year. These goals are part of the teacher professional growth and evaluation process, and all are required to set them annually. Research affirms that effective goal setting and assessment practices will result in increased student achievement. The rubric below defines effective goal setting practices that will result in student achievement.

Next Monday, I will be hosting a training to support effective student growth goal setting for any staff who wish to attend. It is our intention that anyone who attends this workshop will write distinguished goals.
