RE: TEAM High School Update

Recently our enrollment has spiked due to more Kalama students enrolling at TEAM High School. These students are either lacking credits, have truancy issues or are displeased with the staff and administration at Kalama High School. We take them in and provide them with a fresh start and a quality education in a nurturing environment. Some strive will others struggle with their reoccurring issues that have plagued them in the past.
March 17-19 we will be administering the HSPE Reading and Writing State Exams for our 11th and 12th graders who have not passed it yet. Passing this exam or the equivalent (such as the Smarter Balanced English Language Arts Exam) is a graduation requirement.
Chris Wiseman and Mary Burnett will be attending the Washington Association of Learning Alternatives Spring Conference March 5-7 at the Great Wolf Lodge. This conference will provide an opportunity for Mary and Chris to collaborate about TEAM High School procedures.
