Back to School:
This fall we definitely felt the "growing pains" of doubling in size. Due to the increased number of students we also had an increased number of additional orders. Getting resources inventoried and out to families was a challenge. Mr. and Mrs. Knudson worked tirelessly to ensure all families received what they needed to get started. Amidst all that we settled into our new facility, portable 8-9 on the Primary school campus, then quickly moved out of one of our classrooms, consolidating the school into one classroom due to the unexpected increase in Kindergarten enrollment. Many of our parents from the academy rolled up their sleeves and jumped in to help our teachers move and reorganize our new space. This is just one evidence of the wonderful partnership that has developed between the staff and families since last year.
Now the dust is settling and we've had two new family orientations to introduce families to how the academy works and what support they can expect to receive. We've held open learning lab last week with a great showing of students. We welcome you to stop by and visit us during an open learning lab.
