The work behind the scenes on capital facilities work has been happening at breakneck speed. at the board meeting I will provide a "sneak peek" at the preliminiary floor plan, in its fourth itteration. This is still a work in progress. Presuming all of the cogs mesh between the design team, value-engineering, and the cost estimators, the board will receive a comprehensive walk-through of the preliminary design on October 8th. This may well be delayed until October 22 if the cogs do not all mesh.
In parallel to the building design of WHS we have been working hard on developing the "Phase 1" package, which will also be presented to the board on Monday. We are hopeful that we will be able to get underway with this work by the early/mid spring at the latest.
Work on the Yale Gym project is also zooming ahead. September 27 and October 10 are both evenings you may wish to hold on your calendars. We anticipate two community meetings at Yale school to gather input on programming and design.
