RE:        TEAM High School Update

Our students took the Math End Of Course exam (EOC) on June 1.  Stressful for the students as they let me know that they did not feel prepared for some of the problems.  We will be focusing more attention on state exams next year. 

Graduation will be June 8 in the auditorium at 7:00.  There will be cake and punch after the ceremony served in the gym.  In the past we have graduating classes in the low 20's.   This year we are anticipating 17.  All are welcome to attend. 

Summer School will be taught this year by Jim Avino and Mary Burnett.  We are anticipating a former student at WHS (Jessica Pain) coming in once a week to help students in math and English.  She is currently attending Western Washington University and majoring in secondary education. 

During the summer I will be putting together all the requirements that WAC 392-121-182 calls for.  This will be a tedious process but am working with Lile Holland, Executive Director for Washington Association for Learning Alternatives.  No one knows exactly which way to jump at this time as we have no examples of forms that will be required.
