May has quickly come and gone and WMS is on the final stretch!
MSP on-line testing and paper pencil testing was a success. A huge thanks to the technology department and Kelly Sloniker who diligently showed up to help turn on 180 computers every morning before 7:00 a.m. We are now ready for the End of Course Assessment for all students enrolled in Integrated I.
Art fest was a huge success! Michael Smith did a great job with students and spent a lot of time helping organize, set up and take down. There were some nice entries from the woods department this year. Hopefully you all had a chance to view the show.
We are still finalizing our master schedule at WMS. We are looking at ways to keep our classes low and provide maximum choice and intervention services to our students. Schedules will not be finalized until we get MSP and EOC data back from the state in late August.
Mondays have revolved around reflection of professional development time and goal setting for departments for next year. Also, we will be doing an exit bully survey with WMS students based on our book study that we have done this year. Suggestions from the bullying cadre have been made and we are looking at further study and implementation next year.
The staff and students at WMS have had a great year and deserve a great summer break!
