RE: North Fork Elementary School Update

● Our teachers wanted to offer students a fun enrichment activity at the end of the year due to the absence of field trips. Each grade level came up with a special activity to end the year. Volcanoes, Rockets, a Planetarium experience, special art projects and tie-dye shirts were some of the activities teachers planned.

● North Fork added a new Comic Book Club this year as a result of two fourth graders advocating for students. It has been one of our most popular after-school clubs. Students have enjoyed drawing and writing storylines with their peers. We are planning on continuing this club next year.

● Next week teachers are planning for our Kids @ Hope Week. The week has a day to celebrate each of these areas; Home & Family, Community and Service, College and Careers, and Hobbies and Recreation. Each day has activities that support students thinking about their futures. Students will be making cards for the nursing home, planting flowers around the school, painting more salmon for our fence, learning about career opportunities through videos, celebrating their family time, and learning about new hobbies, and playing games together.
