RE Lewis River Academy:
Student Achievement: Parent feedback has indicated we need to provide more support to improve writing skills for our kids. In response we have implemented a writer's workshop opportunity for families and students. In order to assess current student performance we had each student participate in a mid-year test of their English language arts skills via the new smarter balanced assessment system. The assessment was given online and will measure each student’s performance in relation to end of year standard for their grade level. Based on the results we’ll focus our workshops on specific skills that will improve student performance in writing.
