Winter Sports Wrap-up

All-League

  1. Boys’ Basketball
    1. Tanner Huddleston – 1st Team

  2. Girls’ Basketball
    1. Sidra Malik – 1st Team
    2. Jessica Flanagan – 1st Team
    3. McKenna Mulder – 2nd Team
    4. Gracey Trice – Honorable Mention

Wrestling

  1. Zach Wardle finished 5th in state.
  2. Kurtis Patterson competed at state and won a match.
  3. Dillan Beckwith and Zac Seevers went as alternates

Spring Sports

Baseball – two teams, 27 athletes turned out

  1. New head coach (Stephen Short)
  2. John Peters added as a volunteer coach.

Fastpitch – two teams, 32 athletes turned out

  1. George Trice and Kim Dyson added as volunteer coaches.

Girls’ Golf – two teams, 11 athletes turned out

  1.  Sam Jouwsma and Lynell Murray added as volunteer coaches.

Boys’ Soccer – two teams, 28 athletes turned out

  1.  New head coach (Bryan Vogel)
  2. New assistant coach (Joel Hingston)

Track – 32 boys, 21 girls, 53 athletes turned out

  1. Mia Nigro hired as an assistant coach.
    • Bruce Flanagan, Emilee Strot and Dennis Koering added as volunteer coaches.

First day of practice will be April 8.

Other News…

The Woodland Trap Team  is hosting their first ever SCTP event on March 9 at the Vancouver Trap Club.

Held Mtn. Biking meeting on Monday. Team will be joining a cooperative in Vancouver.

  1.  4 race dates scheduled.
  2.  At this time, 2 HS boys and 1 MS boy plan to join.
