Date: March 11, 2013
Since February TEAM’s enrollment has increased significantly with Kalama and Woodland High School students who are on the verge of dropping out altogether. These students have lost hope in the traditional high school and are searching for connections. Some have found success while others are struggling to make it. Our enrollment is starting to approach 90 students.
The Writing and Reading HSPE will be administered March 12-14. Passage of both is a requirement which puts stress on the students and staff. TEAM High School will test over 40 students in each category. This is the largest group we have ever tested. Jim Avino usually works with these students for months in order to help them be successful but with students entering weeks prior to the test it will be difficult to pass.
