North Fork Elementary Report

RE: North Fork Elementary Update

• November 30th was the end of the first trimester. Teachers are working on report cards that will go home before the Holiday break.
• Our first round of formal teacher observations is complete. Teachers have also set their student growth goals for the year and met with me for approval. All of the goals support our building school improvement plan goals.
• We continue to have unfilled positions every day, requiring a morning juggling act. The staff has been amazing in their flexibility and willingness to put kids first.
• We are looking forward to our Holiday program next week on December 16th. We will have two performances during the day to accommodate all of the families in our limited space. Our Choir Club and Jr. Hope Squad will be visiting the Woodland Community Center to perform some of the program songs for the residents.
• Our Dean of Students and PBIS team has implemented a prize cart for classrooms that have filled their Eagle Bucks Bucket for following schoolwide expectations. This has been a big hit and motivating for our students.
• Our teachers are continuing to plan and implement our new CKLA curriculum. Lessons continue to be rigorous and engaging for students.
