WORKSHOP

Career, Life & College: Opening Doors for WHS Graduates

Assistant Superintendent Asha Riley and Woodland High School Principal Dr. Phil Pearson gave a detailed description of Woodland High Schools' course planner, advanced placement classes, college in the High School, CTE Dual credit, Cascadia Tech, and Running Start. High School teachers and students shared their perspectives throughout the presentation on each area. Superintendent Green then provided the directors with some financial information. The directors asked clarifying questions. Finally, the following items were presented to the school board for consideration:

1. Modification of procedure 2410P to allow for equalizing the granting of credits for AP course passage and college in the high school credits.
2. Support continued funding of college in high school credits. 
3. Support continued funding of all advanced placement exams. 

The board of directors agreed to move forward with these considerations.
