Subject: Human Resources Report
Processing has become a priority as I onboard new hires. Meeting with newly hired staff allows me to complete the required paperwork but also gives me the opportunity to share information about Woodland Public Schools and answer frequently asked questions. I leave these meetings impressed with the quality of staff the administrators hire. It is especially satisfying when a new hire is someone who went to school here. Clarrisa Rinehart, an experienced art teacher who was hired for Woodland Middle School, is a graduate of our district and is intentionally returning to Woodland because of her love for our community.
COVID cases continued to rise this month and each day I work to clearly communicate to staff who test positive the required timelines, follow up with employees who are out sick to check for symptoms, and communicate with buildings when there is a possible exposure. I continue to meet with newly hired staff and volunteers for religious/medical accommodations to the vaccine mandate.
Evaluations are done for all employees this month so I ensure they are being completed for all staff. I complete a report on evaluations in the fall so the tracking I do now will be used at that time.
Lastly, along with you and Asha Riley, I had the opportunity to surprise this year's Employee of Excellence winners. Our staff is just amazing and it is wonderful to take a moment and thank them for the difference they make in the lives of students.
