SPECIAL PRESENTATION

Recognition of Educational Support Professionals

Each year the Governor sets aside a single week during which he formally recognizes Educational Support Professionals.

When the public thinks of schools, they often think first about teachers and principals.  Often in the background, often receiving fewer accolades are key staff members who are essential to the public schools' day-to-day operations.  The bus drivers, the cooks, the custodians, the painter, the HVAC technician, the grounds crew, the secretaries, the para-professionals.   These are the folks without whom the work of teachers and principals could not be successful.

Woodland Public Schools depends on 277 high-quality support staff who invest in accomplishing our mission of preparing all students for a successful future.

Supporting students are:

105 Paraprofessionals and Program Specialist
