RE: Columbia Elementary Board Report

Parent Teacher Conferences:

• Parent teacher conferences were a success. We are waiting on attendance percentages. Overall we had a great turnout in grades K-4.
• CES did a combination of face-to-face and virtual conferences. This was the first time that Columbia has used Skyward to schedule conferences. The purpose in utilizing Skyward is to sync our practices with the rest of Woodland Public Schools.  

CES Continues to Look at Data:

• Currently, CES is looking at school-wide data and working on creating a plan of how to improve it.
• In collaboration with the district, North Fork, and Yale, we are looking at various options on providing opportunities to students to get additional support. The goal is to bridge the gap created by distance learning. 

Future Planning for 2021-2022 School Year:

• Although it is only April, CES is already looking at possibilities and options for the 2021-22 school year. Topics like scheduling, academic programs, and school-wide systems are only a few on the forefront.
