Here is an overview of the key activities we worked on in relation to teaching and learning this month and a bit of a preview for May.
Monday’s: Nothing major to report here. Our departments are working together and we have at least three different book studies going on right now during this time (Social Studies, English and Admin/counselors).
Other information: I am pleased to inform you that Mary Ann Sturdivan was awarded as the regional classified employee of the year. She is not competing again 8 other ESD winners from across the state for the classified employee of the year for our entire state. Congratulations Mary Ann. We are in the early phases of building the master schedule for next year and I am honored to work with Tish, Dan, and our counselors during this process. Student-led conferences and early release time went quite well right before spring break. You may have also noticed that Mr. Blackwelder and Mr. Cowley have received some nice recognition recently for the manner in which they are working with student this year on attaining end of the semester grades. There was a nice article in the Columbian on April 17th.
Early May: Don’t forget about our annual plant sale which is May 5th and 6th. This is a great show case event. We also would love to have you our any school board members join us for the school prom on Saturday, May 13th. Feel free to let Mr. Uhlenkott know if you are interested in attending.
