Acceptance of 2009-2010 KWRL Fuel Bids

RE:  Fuel Bid Recommendation

The district advertised and received sealed bids for KWRL and Woodland School District fuel on September 3, 2009.  The request for bids included two separate bids (wet-hosing and Cardlock) with a request of each vendor to quote a cost per gallon above OPIS.  We received two bids - Wilcox and Flegel and Vancouver Oil Co.  Both vendors bid on each area and met the specifications for both bid types.  The bids were as follows:

Card-Lock                                 $.08 above Opis                               $.17 above OPIS w/$.06 discount for Kalama site


I spoke with Chuck and gave him the results and we agreed that the recommendation should be to continue with Wilcox and Flegel for the Card-Lock program and to begin doing business with Vancouver Oil Co. for the Wet-Hosing.  Please let me know if you have questions or would like additional information.
