School Improvement Plan
The Building Leadership Team is finalizing our School Improvement Plan (SIP) goals for the year. Building on last year’s success, our Master Schedule has been strategically structured around the proven routines and systems that drove our previous goal achievement.
Teachers have wrapped up beginning-of-the-year reading and math assessments, establishing clear baseline data. Targeted intervention groups began this week to deliver immediate, focused support to students where they need it most.
Recognition
I want to extend appreciation to Student Advocate Staci Aschoff and the North Fork Behavior Support Team for their dedication to welcoming our new students. Striking a thoughtful balance between clear boundaries and genuine care, this team pairs consistent accountability with strong relational support. Through daily modeling and collaboration, they build lasting trust, helping students meet expectations while fostering a safe, inclusive culture across North Fork—and thanks to their hard work, our new students and kindergarteners are settling in beautifully.
North Fork has introduced two exciting new programs this year: our STEM program and our Orchestra Club. Both programs are already proving to be valuable additions to our campus, expanding student engagement and providing excellent hands-on learning opportunities across the arts and sciences. We are planning showcase events for both of these programs: a STEM Exhibition Night in January and an orchestra concert in December.
