RE: TEAM HS Board Report
School Improvement Plan
This year, we are changing the TEAM graduation to include a student speaker. This has been a long-running tradition at WHS, but it is a first at TEAM. We asked students who might be interested and then worked with interested students on their speech and delivery. In the end, one student will be speaking. We’re excited to add some student voice to the graduation ceremony!
One of our goals was to reduce the number of students withdrawn for lack of progress. Excluding students who were withdrawn for lack of attendance, we’ve withdrawn just 1 student this year. This remarkable result is borne out of some changes in procedure, but mainly because TEAM staff have continued their tireless work in advocacy of students.
Recognition
Evelina Paso was awarded the Peter R. Marsh Foundation Silent Servant scholarship award for her outstanding contributions to the community. We held a small ceremony for her and her family in mid-April. And, to let the cat out of the bag, she’s also our student speaker this year. Way to go, Evelina!
Upcoming Events
TEAM commencement is Wednesday, June 3rd, at 7:00 pm in the WHS commons. All are invited!
