RE: Woodland Middle School Board Report

School Improvement Plan

  • Although it is too early to know all of our test results, we have more than a third of our ELA State Test results in. So far, 61% of students are scoring at a 3 or 4! Last year, we had 53% of students score at a 3 or 4.
    • The OSPI report card now lists students who score a 2 or above. We currently have 81% of our students scoring at a 2 or higher. Last year, we were at 74%.
  • It is too early to see the Science or Math initial scores. Things can also change as more scores come in.

Building a Sense of Community:

  • A small number of our middle school students have been partnering with a local Senior Citizen group to help set up the Community Center on Wednesday mornings and help put things away on Friday afternoons. We are excited to build relationships with new partners in the community!
