The past month has been full of learning for the students and staff at Yale. Teachers are using the interim assessments as a teaching tool. They are helping students get familiar and feel comfortable with the types of questions and quality responses to align with the standards they are teaching. Teachers are also getting opportunities to do learning walks at WIS. This has sparked new learning and excitement around learning targets and success criteria. It has been extremely valuable for the teachers at Yale to have professional development opportunities outside of their walls.
We have one staff member attending the NW PBIS conference next week. We are in our first year of Tier 1 implementation and are seeking the next steps. We are hopeful Sarah will bring back some valuable information to inform us. Our teachers and paraprofessionals are loving the consistent language around expectations and our students always know what to expect.
