Athletic Director Report

Spring Sports


1.       HS Boys' Baseball

a.        Varsity record (1-10 league, 4-13 overall)

b.       JV record (5-6 league, 9-8 overall).

c.        Season ends for both teams vs. La Center next week (TBD).

2.       HS Girls' Fastpitch

a.        Varsity record (6-0 league, 12-1 overall).

b.       JV record (6-0 league, 11-2 overall).

c.        Construction of JV dugouts progressing.

                                                               i.      CTE project for Mr. Farnell's class..

                                                              ii.      Home dugout framed, Visiting dugout partially framed.

d.       League play ends on Monday, May 16 vs. Mark Morris at home.

e.       Playoffs begin Thursday, May 19 at Borst Park in Centralia - 4pm.

3.       HS Boys' Soccer

a.        Varsity record (0-11 league, 0-15 overall)

                                                               i.      Senior night and final game of the season is Thursday, May 5 - 7pm vs. Mark Morris.

4.       HS Track

a.        Team continues to have numerous boy and girl event winners.

b.       SWW Track and Field Classic (@ Woodland) on Friday, May 6.

c.        Sub Districts on May 11 and 13 (@ Woodland) - 3:45pm.

5.       HS Girls' Golf

a.        Team is 10-0 for the season.

                                                               i.      Team set school record vs. Hockinson for lowest team total (174)

b.       The district tournament begins Monday, May 16 in Olympia (Capitol City Golf Course)

c.        Three 8th girls work out with team but do not compete.

6.       MS Track

a.        Team is doing very well so far - numerous event winners and team wins.

b.       We are hosting meets on May 4 and May 17.

c.        Season ends May 19 at Ridgefield (Invitational).

7.       Current projects...

a.        Initial athletic handbook committee meeting set for Thursday, May 6.

b.       Coordination/planning for summer athletic programs and camps.

c.        Initial development of athletic archive for the ms and hs.

d.       Athletic budget analysis/revisions - uniform cycle to be established.
