OPERATIONS REPORTS
The Board discussed the reports. Stacy Brown told the Board about the summer food program. This is a USDA program. Stacy is working with Missy Sorenson for WCC student participation. The meals will be totally free for kids aged 2-18. They don't have to be our students, or qualify for free and reduced lunch in order to participate. It will require an estimated 8 hours of staff time. Stacy and Lucy Dooley attended program training in Yakima for this recently. Stacy is working to get the word out about this program.
SUPERINTENDENT REPORT
Mr. Green said the legislature adjourned late last week and is coming back tomorrow to work in conference committee on the final budget. He gave the Board a document that showed an estimate of the impacts on the district of the three budget proposals (Governor, House and Senate). The House budget is much more supportive of K-12 than either of the others. Mr. Green says the District's fund balance is still in good shape for next year. The Board discussed the budgets.
