ANNUAL BOARD REORGANIZATION

Appointment of Directors to Committees of the Board

School Board Policy 1240 establishes two (2) board committees to which the board may appoint up to two members each December.  Committee members will serve a one-year term.

The current board committees are:

• Budget and finance committee— who work with the CFO and Superintendent, on an ongoing basis, to review the budget and finance operations of the district. (Currently Directors Guthrie and Huddleston)
• Policy committee— who will work with the Superintendent to review and prepare policy recommendations for consideration by the whole board.  (Currently Directors Wray and Guthrie)

The board may also appoint up to two directors to the following district committees:

• Calendar committee (by agreement with WEA there is only one board representative on this committee) (Last year, it was Director McLendon)
• Instructional Material Committee (Currently Director Wray and Stuart)
• Trust Fund/Career Pathways Scholarship Committee. (Currently Directors Huddleston and Stuart)
• District Safety Committee (Currently Director Stuart and McLendon)
