President Watts called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

Resolution 20-09 – Temporarily Suspending Policy 2020
Superintendent Green indicated that he identified a typographical error in the proposed resolution that would substantively change the meaning. He proposed adoption of the resolution with the word “No” changed to “Now”
Director Wray moved to adopt Resolution 20-09 as modified

DISCUSSION ITEMS
Regional COVID-19 Status and Next Steps
Superintendent Green presented up-to-date national state and local information on the COVID-19 pandemic and the board discussed the benefits and risks of face-to-face learning opportunities vs continuation of remote learning. Green presented a plan being considered regionally that would tie reopening of schools for in-person instruction to the reopening status of regional counties. The board discussed their desire to return students to face-to-face instruction, but recognized the paramount importance of protecting the health and safety of students, staff, and our community. They discussed the information and agreed that the superintendent should continue working closely with public health officials and other school regional and state school districts.
