RE: Intermediate School Update

  • The Woodland Reads culminating activity was held in the library during conferences. Families could make a “Dream Jar” of their own. The school received a lot of positive feedback in offering an activity that families could do together around the book.
  • The Mason’s donated three bikes and helmets to each grade level winner that participated in the nightly reading and questions. The students lined the halls before the winner’s name was drawn to receive their bike.
  • Our Veteran’s Day Assembly was an amazing celebration by students and staff. Linda Morris, our music teacher created a program that highlighted each branch of service and recognized the veteran’s in the audience. Staff donated funds to give each veteran a special gift, a loaf of pumpkin bread baked by our very own cook, Lucy Dooley. It was an incredibly patriotic and moving event.
  • Our teachers just completed Peer to Peer observations. The focus was on Learning Targets and Success Criteria. We have an amazing team of teachers that have so much to offer their peers. It was an opportunity for them to learn from each other and calibrate their instructional practices.
