RCW 28A.505.170(B) Governs the process whereby school districts can extend their budgets beyond the original appropriation. The requirements of the statute have been met, notably advertising.
It is required that this board offer the opportunity for the community, a formal hearing, prior to adopting or affixing a budget resolution.
Stacy Brown will present the recommendation regarding resolution 17-9 to the school board. Following this, the president will recess the regular meeting for the purposes of a hearing. After giving any interested parties the opportunity to provide comment to the school board the regular meeting will be reconvened.
