Stacy Brown will present the 2015-2016 Year End Financial Summary
Attached is a power point presentation (pdf) of the 15-16 end of year financial statements, as well as the final sources and uses document (pages 1-2) and some detailed revenue and expenditure comparisons between years (pages 3-5). These documents will not be a part of the presentation, but I wanted to provide some additional detail. If you have questions, please bring them to the meeting and we can go over them.
I also attached a portion of the actual F-196 financial report. The entire document is 75 pages. If you would like to see the entire document please let me know and I will send it to you. I have included the following pages: Summary (page 6), Balance Sheet (pages 7-8), Statement of Revenues, Expenditures and Changes in Fund Balance (pages 9-10), Statement of Fiduciary Net Position -Trust Fund (page 11), Statement of Changes in Fiduciary Net Position -Trust Fund (page 12) and the Schedule of Long-Term Debt (page 13). As you can see, we finished the year, decreasing the fund balance by $165,000. A decrease in fund balance is unusual in comparison with prior years. We did budget to lose approximately $115,000 in fund balance. Considering that we opened a new building, reconfigured the remaining buildings and performed some much needed maintenance projects, I feel comfortable with the financial position of the district moving forward into 2016-17.
