We’ve been busy at Yale collaborating with Ingrid Colvard as she will soon be assuming full responsibility for the operations of the school on January 1st. We expect a smooth transition and continued collaboration over the coming months. The following letter went home to families a few weeks ago.
Dear Yale School Families,
As many of you know, we will soon welcome a new principal to Yale Elementary School on January 1st.
Mrs. Ingrid Colvard was hired last Spring as principal of Yale Elementary and Woodland Primary and has been visiting Yale School getting to know students and staff this fall. Mrs. Colvard is an incredibly smart and kind person and I am thrilled to have her support the students and staff of Yale Elementary. I have complete confidence in her leadership and capacity to meet the unique needs of our rural community school. Mrs. Colvard plans to attend our holiday play and is looking forward to meeting everyone that evening.
As for me, I will continue in the district with my other responsibilities that fortunately include regular visits to Yale to support teaching and learning. This makes me so thankful because I have loved every minute of serving as principal at Yale these past years. I look forward to continued visits to the school in the future.
