RE: Summary of Teaching and Learning - CTE
Jennifer Cullison and I attended the Precision Exams training in February. These exams offer on-line, industry certification in multiple program areas. OSPI has received grant funding so the exams are only $2.50, per student. That is not a typo, $2.50 per student!
I attended the Washington Association of Vocational Administrators’ conference in February. I learned a great deal about certification programs for teacher’s wishing to obtain their CTE endorsement. This provides enhanced funding in the classroom. Woodland Middle School is looking at certifying possibly two teachers by next year and providing STEM enrichment in the Math Academy classes.
