Re: WMS Board Report

I am pleased to present an exciting update on the successful conclusion of the school year at Woodland Middle School. As we near the end of the academic term, our students have shown remarkable dedication and resilience in completing their classes. Their hard work and commitment to their studies have been truly commendable.

Our 8th-grade students had an unforgettable trip to Bullwinkles, thanks to the generous support of our PTSA and the entire community. The trip provided a fun-filled and memorable experience for our students, creating lasting memories before they move into the start of their high school careers.

Woodland High School graciously welcomed our 8th graders during a moving-up assembly, where they symbolically took their seats as 9th graders. This event marked a significant milestone in their academic journey and offered a glimpse of the exciting opportunities that await them in high school. We extend our gratitude to Woodland High School for their warm reception.

Our school organized an epic field day on Tuesday, June 13th. This event was made possible through the tremendous efforts of our ASB, dedicated parent volunteers, and unwavering support from the community. I would like to give a special shout-out to advisors Jeff Flanagan and Sarah Netland for their invaluable contributions to the success of this event.

In addition to these memorable experiences, I am delighted to report that the SBA scores are starting to come in, and we have witnessed growth in many areas for our Trojans. Way to go!! This achievement is a testament to the commitment and hard work of our students, teachers, and staff, who have dedicated themselves to academic excellence. #WinningInTheWoods

On the last day of school, we are going to have an awards assembly for our Trojans presenting awards of different categories along with the Golden Trojan, Principal's Award, and more!

I would like to thank Woodland School District, along with our board, for all your support as I wrap up my first year as building principal. I am eagerly looking forward to working over the summer to make Woodland Middle School even better for our Trojans in the upcoming school year. With the support of our dedicated staff, engaged community, and the tireless efforts of our students, I am confident that we will continue to foster a positive and enriching learning environment.
